Chicago HOPES: Raising hope through education

Chicago HOPES provides a volunteer based, after-school tutoring program for students living in Chicago homeless shelters.

There are currently over 15,000 Chicago Public Schools students self-identified as homeless.  Over 2,000 of these students are currently living in homeless shelters; this is the population that Chicago HOPES serves through its tutoring program.
